Volunteerism & Charity

Charity & Fundraising

I love working with people on raising money for good causes. Usually, this involves being part of an event or a challenge. Over the years I have raised money for Cancer Research UK, The Royal British Legion, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, The Trussell Trust, Settlers Museum, Lend With Care, Cash for Kids, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and more. My biggest challenge on a personal level to date was taking part in the London Marathon in 2017 to raise money for The Royal British Legion. I love to see friends and colleagues work together to support good causes!

Volunteer TransaveUK Credit Union Rep & Operator.
Company Name: Transave UK
Dates volunteered: Oct 2015 – Present

Created/implemented and administered the PMS Diecasting Savings and Christmas Club with TransaveUK Credit Union. As a volunteer operator, I used the Credit Union’s back end CMS for the savings and Christmas club, liaise and work with TransaveUK to ensure all employee paperwork and questions and requests were fulfilled and organise collection and payment of employee funds by communicating with PMS accounting and TransaveUK accounting teams. 1/3rd of the workforce at PMS Diecasting eventually saved with TransaveUK making monthly payments through payroll.

I’m passionate about empowering people financially through budgeting and regular saving. Saving through payroll with TransaveUK personally changed my life around and it was extremely fulfilling witnessing colleagues saving for Christmas throughout the year and having no financial stresses.
